Couple big browns from last week that were chasing big streamers and eating nymph rigs. The weather forecast looks promising for the rest of March. The deep snow that blanketed western Mass all winter is finally melting away at a steady rate. Warmer days on the water are seemingly starting to become more consistent and the trout are moving around more in search of food to supplement their metabolism that will only increase as the water temperatures rise through the next couple months. It won’t be long now until the Hendrickson hatch starts and you start to see the big boys, like the ones pictured below sipping duns off the surface of long slick runs. Come get ‘em boys!
